Web Presence

Our web presence has just extended to another blog.

We are now on WordPress. Our new blog is also entitled Lolly Ink.

Web Site Development

Starting to get into the swing of things. After the initial development of Lolly Ink and Dave's Hedge 'n' Shrub, we have set about to develop the Education Online New Zealand web site.

Wish us luck!

Nothing Works Like Microsoft

Hmm ...

Creative sarcasm to brighten one's day. Thanks for that Holly. Indeed the full saying goes, "Nothing Works Like Microsoft. Microsoft Wroks!" This pokes fun at the old beast with many pointy darts.

On a different note, we've decided to assign days of the week to each member. We haven't decided the responsibilities for each day yet. But here goes:

Monday - Johnny
Tuesday - Bruce
Wednesday - Desmond
Thursday - Natasha
Friday - Mandy
Saturday - Olivia
Sunday - Holly

Monday to Saturday is the working week for Lolly Ink. Sunday is "Holly-day" or "holy day" which is a day of rest and relaxation.

Between Saturday and Sunday we have inserted another day which is only for Lolly Ink Members. Its called Lolly Day. So if you go to sleep Saturday night, and the world is a bad old place, and you wake up Sunday morning, to a beautiful new world, you'll know we've been up to something.

Have a great day!

First Duplication Interface

Today the team created its first Duplication interface: a magic wand.

It's basically a magic wand, with a slight difference. It is black in the middle, but yellow at both ends instead of white. One end has 3 black marks to indicate that its the front. The other end is the back.

To protect ourselves we have built safety sequences into the Duplication wand:

1. To activate the wand you have to scan your index finger in order on the front, middle and back sections of the wand in under 5 seconds. The wand is programmed to only receive Desmond's index finger at the moment.
2. To deactivate the wand is the same, except Desmond scans his index finger in reverse order: back, middle and front.
3. To replicate an object, he selects the object by tapping 3 times with the front of the wand, he selects the destination by tapping 3 times with the back of the wand, and he performs the replication using the front of the wand and circling above the object twice and flicking down once.
4. To delete an object, he selects the object (as above), and he performs the deletion using the front of the wand and flicking down twice and circling above the object once.

In future the wand will correlate to either hand, so that the wand becomes obsolete. The thumb will represent the front of the wand, the pinky representing the back of the wand and the palm representing the middle of the wand. The sequences will remain the same, unless testing results in changes.

Lolly Ink Colour Map

This is the current Lolly Ink colour map (Google Chrome users: right-click the image and select "Open image in new tab").

It details the progress of each field of study, and the 7 defined subsections of each. Every field of study requires an Interface and Testing.

Creativity is the only field of study that has progressed with its Interface, because we are using current computer technology as one of the interfaces for Creativity. The Planning (7.4.2) within Creativity is also progressing because that is what we have been doing the past 10 years. Creativity.Random is 17% based on some computer programs that Holly and Mandy wrote that produced plots for unique random stories every time.

Mind Control has one area that has progressed - Virtual (Dream). The vision of what we want with Lolly Ink has had to be seen, else we would not have progressed this far.

Duplication (3.1.2 and 3.2.2) and Transformation (1.2.2) are 17% based on the Popcorn Theory which Desmond came up with. Desmond might create a post later regarding Lolly Ink Points (LIPs) and his Popcorn Theory.

We've Put This Blog On Our Web Site

We followed these instructions:

The instructions were a bit out of date, but we worked it out eventually.

New Web Site Under Construction

The Lolly Ink team are designing a new web site - Dave's Hedge 'n' Shrub.
